Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 May 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the TEJO website and products. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use TEJO.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using TEJO, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement, and that you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

TEJO provides AI-assisted real-estate intelligence products:

  • Kimo — AI-generated property-value estimates based on the details you provide.
  • Market Scout — discovery of potentially undervalued property listings.
  • CheckConstruct — trust reports on Portuguese construction companies, built from public registries.
  • TEJO Pro — a paid subscription that unlocks additional features and usage.

We may add, change, or discontinue features over time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

4. Valuations and trust scores are estimates

Kimo valuations and CheckConstruct trust scores are AI-generated estimates and indicators produced from data and statistical models. They are NOT professional property appraisals, NOT financial, legal, or investment advice, and NOT guarantees of value, quality, or outcome.

You should not rely on them as the sole basis for any purchase, sale, contract, or other decision. Always seek independent professional verification before acting. To the extent permitted by law, TEJO accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on these outputs.

5. Paid products and billing

Some products are paid — including CheckConstruct paid reports and the TEJO Pro subscription. Prices are shown before purchase and include applicable taxes. Payment is processed by Stripe.

TEJO Pro is a recurring subscription that renews automatically for the chosen period (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

As a consumer in the EU you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. However, our paid products are digital content and digital services delivered immediately.

When you purchase a digital product (such as a CheckConstruct report), you are asked to expressly request immediate delivery and to acknowledge that, once delivery or performance has begun, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. Where you have not consented to immediate delivery, or where performance has not begun, the statutory withdrawal right continues to apply.

If something goes wrong with a purchase, contact us at contacttejo@gmail.com and we will deal with it fairly and in line with your statutory rights.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use TEJO for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape, copy, or resell our data or outputs at scale without our written permission.
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or harm others.

8. Intellectual property

The TEJO brand, website, software, models, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service. Content you submit remains yours; you grant us the permissions needed to operate the service and generate your results.

9. CheckConstruct — accuracy and third-party data

CheckConstruct reports aggregate information from public Portuguese registries. That information may be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors at source. A trust score is an automated indicator and is not a definitive judgement, verdict, or accusation regarding any company or individual.

Reports are provided for information and due-diligence support only. You must form your own assessment and verify independently before relying on a report. If you are named in a report and believe it contains an error, contact us at contacttejo@gmail.com.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TEJO is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or losses arising from reliance on estimates, trust scores, or third-party data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that creates risk or harm. You may stop using TEJO and delete your account at any time.

12. Changes to the service and to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The 'Last updated' date above reflects the current version. If we make material changes, we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use TEJO after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Contact

For any question about these terms, contact us at contacttejo@gmail.com.
